Description
The site is a former paper mill located immediately to the east of the town of Radcliffe, approximately 4.8km south of Bury, Greater Manchester (National Grid Reference: SD 79296 07445). The site measures approximately 18.9ha and is broadly bounded by Cross Lane to the north, Rectory Lane/Brook Street to the west, the River Irwell to the south and Bury Street to the east. Habitats present on-site include broadleaf semi-natural woodland, broadleaf plantation woodland, scrub, semi-improved grassland, marshy grassland, tall ruderal, standing water, running water, amenity grassland, introduced shrub, buildings, trees and hardstanding. Typical planned Services under this contract comprise of but are not exclusively limited to the following: Site inspections, whereby the Supplier shall indicate; all matters relating to the maintenance specification, recommendations for necessary Service, incidences of vandalism, fly tipping, trespass and adjustments to the scheduled Service; Grass Cutting; Scrub Control; Ornamental Shrub Maintenance; Invasive Species Management; Weed Control; and Cleansing. This contract is envisaged to have duration of 2 years with provision for a further 1 year extension under the same Terms and Conditions of this contract. Any contract extensions will be based on tendered Rates and Prices. This contract is a performance based, the performance of which will be monitored via Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
