Description
The subject matter of this process relates to the delivery of services which are listed in Schedule 3 of the Public Contract Regulations.
Oxfordshire County Council is looking to commission a contract to deliver a comprehensive and co-ordinated all-ages Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Training offer in Oxfordshire for professionals and volunteers. Through a training co-ordinator, training will be targeted around unmet need and equip people with the knowledge and skills they need to help their families, friends and individuals that they work or volunteer with. A Mental Health Aware Network/Community of Interest or similar will be established to embed learning and facilitate peer-to-peer support.
The training will be needs led, informed by local data and insight, and prioritised for those who have the most contact with the key groups identified in the Mental Wellbeing Needs Assessment. The training will be developed and tailored, where appropriate to support the County-wide efforts to support better mental health.
The Service will deliver a number of different mental health related training courses as outlined in the specification. The provider will be expected to offer further needs-led training sessions identified via the co-ordinator role and in agreement with Commissioners. The full specification outlines the minimum number of delegates who would undertake each training course for each year of the contract under the funding available for the Core Delivery. The Council will have the option to commission additional courses and additional volumes through the additional services element of the contract.
The contract period is intended to be 2 years, with an option for the Council to extend by up to a further 1 year in aggregate, anticipated to commence on 1 November 2023.
