Description

Northumberland County Council invites applications to tender for a contract to provide Independent Advocacy, Paid Relevant Persons Representative (RPR) and 1.2 Court of Protection Representative Services. The services are being commissioned to meet the statutory requirements of the council under the terms of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 2007 and the Health & Social Care Act 2012. The provider must be familiar with the principle legislation and statutory requirements relating to the provision of independent advocacy, RPR and 1.2 Representative role within the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). The contract is being offered for a period of 1 year with an option to extend for up to 12 months, this will cover the period of change from Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards to Liberty Protection Safeguards.
