Description

The objective of this tender process is to establish a Framework Agreement to provide Traffic Management services to Wigan Council. It is the intention to appoint a minimum of 3 suppliers to this Framework Agreement (Wigan Council will not be bound to appoint more than 3 suppliers), subject to there being sufficient tenders meeting the criteria for appointment.

In the main the traffic management services requested will be to enable Wigan Council to carry out minor repairs to street lighting, carriageway and drainage repairs, as well as grass cutting, road sweeping and lining.

The Framework Agreement will be based on a schedule of rate list for labour, plant and materials within the categories stated within the Invitation to Tender documentation.

The provision of traffic management services under this Framework Agreement is a critical element of Wigan Council's service provision and therefore providers appointed to the framework must be able to supply and provide services in response to a call-off request at any time during the period of validity of the framework.

The framework agreement will run for a maximum period of 4 years. It is intended that this will commence on 1st April 2021 and run for an initial period of two years to 31st March 2023. The framework will then be extendable for two further periods of 12 months each up to 31st March 2025.

Interested applicants are directed to the Invitation to Tender document which contains a full specification for this service.

The closing date of 16th December 2020 at 17:00 represents the deadline for the submission of final tender applications.
