Description

Kirklees Council wishes to commission a highly effective Travel Training Scheme called "Here 2 There" for people living within the boundaries of Kirklees Council. The Service will be open to all non-independent travellers aged fourteen years of age and above with the potential to learn to travel independently, as well as those who wish to learn a new route or simply improve their independent travel skills. The primary client group will be people with a learning disability aged 14 years of age and above; however the service will operate an Equal Opportunities policy offering travel training to anyone who shows a willingness to learn and who is committed to succeed. The contract will start 1 April 2017 and is for 2 years with a possible extension for 12 months. This is a fixed price tender of £50,000 per year
