Description

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE London & South East- the Commissioner), will be commencing a tender for the provision of General Practice Specialty Trainee (GPST) Medical Indemnity Insurance. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to advise prospective providers of the Commissioner's intention.

HEE London & South East, HEE's Local Education and Training Board (LETB), is currently looking to establish a single and block Provider of Medical Indemnity Insurance for all its General Practice Specialty Trainees (GPST) working in Primary Care settings.

These arrangements will cover all GPST training schemes in Greater London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex but will be phased in on the following basis:

Kent, Surrey and Sussex - as from July 2018;
Greater London - as from August 2018.

The published Statement of Requirements set out the service and quality expectations of the Commissioner for this procurement.

The ITT is expected to be published week commencing 22 January 2018. A further advert will be published once the ITT is open to submissions, at which point the ITT documentation will be made available.

The commissioner reserves the right not to proceed with the Procurement, or any part thereof, or change the requirements as necessary at any time.

It is the intention of the commissioner that the procurement will be conducted as on OJEU Service Contract using an Open Procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
