Description
Sellafield Ltd is planning to hold a supplier event at the end of January 2017,
most likely week commencing 23rd January 2017 in Cumbria, where Sellafield
Ltd will provide prospective tenderers with the opportunity to review Sellafield
Ltd's requirements for the design, manufacture, supply and delivery of radiation
shielding doors.
The exact date and venue will be confirmed no later than 5pm (GMT) 11th
January 2017 via Sellafield Ltd's CTM messaging service associated with the
PIN. There will be a maximum of two available spaces for each organisation
wishing to attend, please send the names, email addresses, and job titles of the
attendees stipulating whether or not you are happy for their details to be shared
on the day for networking purposes to:

Sellafield Ltd wishes to procure a number of radiation shielding doors. The type
of radiation shielding door will be outlined at the supplier day and later within the
contract notice. The successful tenderer will be responsible for: the detailed
design of each door type and size that can be built in which incorporates
standardised elements ie size and design; manufacture of doors to required
schedule, which will include the early manufacture of modules to secure
capacity; factory acceptance testing of the shield doors; operator and maintainer
training at successful tenderers works; support to Sellafield Ltd. or its works
contractor for installation and commissioning; proposal for continuous
improvements in manufacturing, testing and performance; options for
maintenance and spares supply during operating life, and specifically excluded
from this strategy is the refurbishment of existing shield doors.
