Description

"CPI is opening a new National Centre for Healthcare Photonics based at NETPark, County Durham in 2018. The centre will provide open access facilities and expertise to help companies of all sizes to develop their photonics based technologies for healthcare and turn them into commercially viable products. CPI has received initial support from the North East Local Economic Partnership (NELEP) to establish this centre.

As part of this program CPI is establishing a bio-imaging and fluorescence spectroscopy facility to offer super resolution imaging and time-resolved fluorescence detection capabilities for biomedical, physical and lifesciences applications. CPI wish to purchase a Confocal laser scanning microscope with multiphoton capability with Fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) for biological and nano material evaluation. The equipment should be modular and flexible in design to accommodate various light sources (tunable whitelight, picosecond and femtosecond pulsed laser sources in the visible to Near infrared wavelength range) and detectors.
In addition CPI would like to purchase a high performance fluorescence spectrometer to measure parameters such as photoluminescence intensity, lifetime (ps to ns) and quantum yield. There should also be a provision to couple the microscope system and fluorescence spectrometer and share the associated light sources/detectors. This will be a one off purchase."

CPI would like to engage with potential suppliers to discuss this requirement in further detail; we will therefore be holding a supplier open day at the following address on Tuesday 19th June 2018;

Centre for Process Innovation Limited (CPI)
National Formulation Centre
The Coxon Building, John Walker Road
NETPark, Sedgefield, County Durham
TS21 3FE, United Kingdom
