Description
Staffordshire's County Council and Clinical Commissioning Groups have a shared vision for the development of emotional health and wellbeing services for children and young people. This is based on the Thrive model but will also incorporate a preventative, early help approach. The vision is an ambitious one that aims to deliver an accessible and responsive service to the children and young people of our county.
Aims for the future Provision are:
• To promote positive emotional health and wellbeing, whilst offering a digital and face to face support system to those who require it;
• To enable children and young people to access services at a time and level they feel is appropriate for them;
• Build resilience in individuals, peer groups, family units and communities;
• To be inclusive of the Looked After Children and Care Leaver cohort within Staffordshire;
• Reduce the prevalence of escalating emotional health and wellbeing issues for children and young people, through prevention and early intervention;
• To work collaboratively with professionals, families and services to ensure a child centred approach to support is a reality, not an aspiration.
The provision will offer a flexible approach to meeting the needs of children and young people aged 5-18, who have mild to moderate mental health needs. The offer will be one that is made up of two parts;
• A digital offer that is far reaching, interactive and well monitored/regulated. It will have an information, advice and guidance function that is enhanced by peer forums and interactive counselling.
• A therapeutic offer that can meet more complex needs and those of younger children. The delivery model will offer a range of face to face interventions and will be reactive to need. A Place Based Approach will see delivery that is community based.
To enable a whole market approach to future service delivery through a Competitive Dialogue procurement we want to invite you to be part of a Market Development Provider Workshop at 1pm - 5pm on Wednesday 16th January 2019 at Oak Room, County Buildings, Martin Street, Stafford ST16 2LH where you will have the opportunity to be part of:
• Shaping the vision for the future of responding to children and young people's emotional well-being and mental health needs
• Understanding the demographics and local needs of children and young people in Staffordshire
• Contributing to early thinking of new commissioning arrangements and better understanding the Competitive Dialogue process.
We hope you will be interested in attending this workshop. If you are either a potential prime or sub provider who would be interested in speaking at the event about the services you offer, then we are keen to facilitate this. Please highlight any interest when you confirm your attendance.
Please could you confirm attendance by Friday 11th January 2018 to amanda.brass@staffordshire.gov.uk
