Description

- Work directly with policy colleagues to understand the changes that businesses will need to prepare for.
- Identify key messages, plan for and draft appropriate communications products to support the delivery of these messages.
- Coordinate external communications across plant health imports and exports, including delivery bodies, ensuring that they align with activities across the programme
- Manage Devolved Administration and Crown Dependency engagement, this includes facilitating operational and legislative readiness meetings, seeking approval and support for key policy decisions and sharing communications products and plans.
- Work directly with the IT team to ensure that relevant plant health stakeholders are well integrated into their business readiness plans, ensure that training and workshops are shared with target stakeholders.
- Create a mapping of external stakeholders to ensure they are engaged in the right way and at the appropriate time.
- Keep key external stakeholders engaged and informed as necessary, to ensure smooth delivery of the programme
- Lead on contents and guidance for plant health, managing an HEO content and guidance lead and work directly with DDTS colleagues.
- Work with Strat comms to ensure communications are aligned for external stakeholders and that a variety of methods of communication are utilised, including social media.
- Work with Press Office colleagues to ensure that articles accurately reflect policy changes and that reactive lines can be drafted in response.
- Work in conjunction with others in the programme team to develop core lines/script
- Attend stakeholder forums and events to present core lines on behalf of the programme
- Maintain an up-to-date business readiness plan and feed this into the relevant project/programme management plans. Track the progress of your milestones and report risks and issues relating to business readiness.
