Description

The University requires single provider for the provision of-
The project involves the full refurbishment of the Hawthorn Building plant room. Including the enabling works, full clean of the plant room from asbestos with the aim of providing an asbestos clear plant room at the end of the project, strip out and replacement of all the heating and hot water plant, all pipework fittings and supports (including gas), flues, plant and BMS within the Hawthorn Plant room.
The works also includes cleaning and painting to the plant room walls floors and ceilings and woodwork, new electrical supplies to plant and equipment, new lighting and the installation of new louvres.
The Mechanical contractor shall note they are to undertake the role of the main Mechanical contractor and an asbestos Mechanical contractor is to be sub contracted to them for the asbestos remediation works as. The mechanical contractor shall be fully aware of the requirements of the Lucion Asbestos remediation works specification and shall ensure allowances for both the MEP specification and its requirements and the Asbestos Remediation works.
