Description
SUAT is seeking to procure broadband provision on behalf of its academies. The purpose of this notice is to inform potential suppliers about our upcoming tender for the supply of broadband services, which will be available on Tuesday 21st May. The ITT and accompanying documentation will provide potential suppliers with the information needed to enable them to submit a bid for the opportunity. Requirements detailed are for the provision of leased and non-leased lines and web/content filtering incorporating the following:
• Options for different line types and speeds available at each site for the speed range stated
• Service Management
• Filtering
• Firewall
• Network Management - including a solution to check bandwidth utilisation.
The Staffordshire University Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust which currently consists of fourteen schools, of which there is one secondary school thirteen primary schools across Staffordshire; the Trust head offices are based in Stone, Staffordshire. SUAT has approximately 3,500 pupils and employs over 500 members of staff.
SUAT promotes high aspirations and excellence for all. Our aim is to develop a strong partnership between the academies, pupils, and the wider community in order to secure an outstanding learning experience for everyone. We have high expectations and strive to create independent learners fit for the demands of the 21st Century.
Quality technology services in each of our academies is key in sustaining the learning and working environments of our pupils and staff to support better outcomes for all. Tenderers must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide a service which is of high quality, reliable, as fast as is reasonably practicable and reasonably priced.
The Ed-Tech industry and such initiatives within the sector are ever advancing, therefore it is crucial that providers of technology services support our academies in evolving their systems to enhance teaching and learning, and the business function of an academy.
It is important that providers who intend to submit a tender can show appropriate initiatives in how they will support each academy through the implementation process and the life of the contract, to ensure that each academy gains the most out of their service and maintains optimum functionality.
Each academy involved in this tender has differing requirements for their broadband capability. Such information will be provided in the ITT to ensure that potential providers can submit a tender according to individual needs. It is important for providers to note that all our academies have a range of required implementation dates, the first commencing 30th September 2019.
