Description

Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration is restoring and repurposing the New River Head industrial heritage site as the national centre for illustration, including a home for Quentin Blake's archive. We have recently been awarded a Development Grant by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (also known as the Heritage Fund or NLHF). This will fund a programme of work to develop our understanding of costs, resources, timeline and audience needs, enabling us to develop our application to apply for a full grant of £2.5million towards the project.

We need a part-time Project Manager, or project management provider, to oversee and provide administrative support for the work funded by the Heritage Fund.

The Project Manager will:
• create a critical path plan
• coordinate fortnightly project updates for the Senior Management Team and Capital Projects Steering Group
• support external consultant contracting, induction and arrangements
• monitor project spend
• collate progress reports, professional reports and the final report
• produce an evaluation of the Development phase

We have a budget of £20,000 available to fund this work during the Development Phase. The anticipated timescale is January to May 2023 although the Project Manager will play a critical role in further developing the timeline beyond this.
