Description

Since 2011, BBC Children in Need has successfully staged various fundraising challenges alongside BBC One programming (such as The One Show and Countryfile). These have become annual highlights for the appeal season and have helped to raise millions of pounds for projects right across the UK.

While all the challenges are a unique blend of different elements, they all have the stories and characters of children and young people at the heart of them - and as such ensuring these young people have the very best and safest experience possible is a key driver for success.

These challenges present an opportunity to share with the audience the positive impact that their kindness and generosity of donations has made in the lives of these children and young people - in the hope that they will invest once again in their futures and ensure every child in the UK has the opportunity to be the best that they can be.

In 2022, BBC Children in Need (alongside colleagues from BBC Studios) will be staging three fundraising challenges (see below). All three are large scale events that require meticulous planning and execution to deliver success. And because the ambition is to raise as much money as possible, the costs for delivery of these events is a paramount consideration and as such, BBC Children in Need is looking for an organisation to project manage the challenges from start to finish that represents the very best in value, sustainability and safeguarding possible. This organisation should be confident to deal with the scrutiny of BBC Children in Need, BBC Studios and the public.

We are looking for one supplier to deliver all three events and therefore require only a single tender submission.

The events are: The Rickshaw Challenge, Countryfile Ramble and Surprise Squad

Interested Parties should contact joseph.thompson@bbc.co.uk ahead of 16.00 on Friday 22nd April 2022.
