The Enrichment Programme
Newham Councils Enrichment Programme supports a range of culture opportunities for Newham children. Music is the largest element of the Enrichment Programme. Approximately 70% of the programme's budget is allocated to funding music activities which are delivered through Newham schools. Music Enrichment has a wide reach with circa 25,000 pupils participating from nursery to year 13. For the 2021-22 academic year there are 89 schools receiving School Music Grants and a further 6 schools in receipt of Music Cluster funding. There is an extensive framework in place for monitoring grant activity alongside a quality evaluation process.

Quality Assurance and Evaluation Contract - Role Summary
The local authority is seeking an organisations with extensive musical expertise, a track record and experience in large scale delivery and evaluation and music education provision within school settings. Their role will be to support the programmes grant application process providing expert advice and insight. To quality assurance and evaluate Enrichment Programme funded music activities delivered in schools, support the development and sustainability of the music activity provision in schools, including providing school music leads with guidance and expert advice.
The organisation will be required to quality assure, evaluate and support the Enrichment Programme. Including but not exclusive to:
 Through large scale school site visits undertake an in-depth programme of quality assurance and evaluation of school Music Enrichment activities funded by the programme Supporting the music funding application process
 Supporting music development and learning in Newham schools
 Direct liaison with schools to arrange site visits , collection of qualitative and quantitative data and the provision of support
 Support the grant application process

The quality and Assurance and Evaluation contract will be for the 2022-23 academic year, with options to extend the contract for a further two academic years.
The award criteria will be based on 100% of the submission quality.
