Description

Working with a national research team, led by LJMU, and maternal populations and healthcare providers to coproduce digital public health alcohol interventions tailored to maternal populations. The interventions will take the form of a web-app. The aim of the intervention is to support women to adhere to relevant alcohol guidelines when trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and early motherhood (up to 5 years postpartum).

LJMU will require the software developers to:

• Deliver a web-app (accessible online and through Apple and Android operating systems) with deployment in relevant app stores, with capabilities of setting up an account/profile on the web version.
• Incorporate ways to increase long term engagement and record data to enable future intervention evaluation.
• Work with the team and professional and public stakeholders in an iterative manner to deliver an intervention which meets the needs of the user population.
• Produce a web-app/intervention which is flexible, changing as the needs and circumstances of the user changes (e.g. moving from pregnancy to motherhood).
• Provide expertise in developing a web-app which is aesthetically pleasing, has high levels of usability and acceptability, has acceptable ongoing/maintenance costs.
• Provide prototypes for coproduction testing/evaluation (months 3, 5, 7), and deliver the web-app by 9 months, ready for usability and acceptability assessment.
• Agree that all foreground/background intellectual property (IP) and database rights will be owned by LJMU.
• Adhere to all relevant legal and data requirements.
• Aesthetics are crucial to the success of this web-app
