Description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 27 April 2018 for the following reason: Due to unforeseen legal implications there is a requirement to withdraw this ITT. Apologies for any inconvenience causedMOIRA is a software package developed and owned jointly by the rail industry and is used to model the demand and revenue impacts of changes to rail timetables. The industry commissioned the development of MOIRA2 so that the MOIRA package could model crowding on rail in an integrated and iterative manner, as well as to take account of future changes in the demand drivers and corresponding changes to rail demand. MOIRA and its successive versions are widely used in the Rail Industry for a wide array of purposes, such as in franchise modelling, or in forecasting rail demand for strategic analysis of capacity requirements.
In summary, we understand that there are two key elements of the code that need replacing along with a number of smaller elements - a timetable interface Delphi code component that reads data from timetable database tables and a model database interface component.
