Description

The works will consist of the comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair of existing equipment and the supply and installation of new and/or replacement equipment at properties within the Borough of Poole and Bournemouth Borough Council area.

This service is to currently needed to support Adult Social Care- Services (ASCS), Children Services (CS), Poole Housing Partnership (PHP) under Borough of Poole (BoP), and Housing and
Communities (H&C) under Bournemouth Borough Council (BBC).

Please note that BBC have the minority of spend and only require this for stairlifts owned by H&C.

The requirements may change at any point during the life of the contract and the predicted spend is therefore not a guarantee.


The contracting authorities for this contract are forecast to be Borough of Poole, (including Poole Housing Partnership) and Bournemouth Borough Council. Due to uncertainties relating to Local Government reorganisation in Dorset the following contracting authorities may need to access the contracted services at a future point in time during the life of the contract: Christchurch Borough Council, East Dorset District Council, Dorset County Council.

The contractor shall include for all labour, plant and materials required. Some of the equipment in this contract will be covered by a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG), and therefore the owner is responsible for all costs to their equipment in accordance with the conditions of their grant. Any owner of DFG equipment will be permitted to use the rates provided for in this contract for their equipment, should they wish to do so.
