Description

Hertfordshire County Council is carrying out some pre-procurement market engagement for a Demand Responsive Transport Service. Therefore, we are inviting suppliers to complete the questionnaire for either the technology , the transport or suppliers who are able to deliver both services. The objective of this project is designed to improve transport links in rural areas and to provide new links both for residents and harder to reach business locations. The Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service would offer a single zone for travel to points which are also within this zone. Booking for this transport would be available to passengers via both an app and a telephone service in order to remain an inclusive service; the booking system would update users with live projections of the bus arrival times and real-time vehicle tracking systems.

Please download and complete the attached questionnaire and submit it by the due date in the system.

This stage of the project allows the Council to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the options; technologies; methodologies; and/or solutions available to deliver its outcomes. Furthermore, this process enables organisations to effectively plan for any potential forthcoming procurement.

The Council will consider the input and responses received as part of this PPME to help inform the Council's options and further decision making.
