Description

Birmingham City Council (the Council) is looking to appoint a main contractor for the main construction works for the development of the Alexander Stadium site necessary to host the Commonwealth Games 2022, and to achieve the legacy of a sustainable community sports facility.

The main contractor duties will be to undertake the below capital works;
•Construction of a new west stand
•Construction of the new north and south bowl seating
•Remodelling of the site levels and access/egress points
•Construction and installation of the main competition and warm up tracks
•Formation of the throwing warm up field
•Associated highway and infrastructure works
•External works
•Attenuation and drainage work

The contract will be for a duration of 3 years.
