Description

The project will consist of the provision and installation of new communal lighting, emergency lighting, external lighting small power, distribution and sub main distribution boards to Blocks 1 - 5. The work also includes external lighting upgrades to the entrance road car park, footpaths and external storerooms. For the individual block details please refer to the relevant drawing. Estimated contract value - £180,000.00 - £200,000.00 Contract start date - November 2021 Project duration - 4 Months . The site is located at Abbey Holme, Overton Road, Cheltenham, GL50 3BZ Block 1 - Flats 1 to 12 Block 2 - Flats 7 - 12 Block 3 - Flats 14 - 19 Block 4 - Flats 20 - 29 Block 5 - Apartments 30 - 64 Chrysotile & Amosite ACM's have been identified on this project. Electrical contractors working on this project would require UKATA-B trained operatives to carry out non-notifiable non-licenced asbestos works. There are no welfare facilities in any of the blocks Appointments to visit the site are to be made via The Guinness Partnerships, local CLO's - Mr Rob Cooke: mobile - 07525245935 or Paul Stone: mobile - 07736286924 Lighting Manufacturer - Steon Lighting. Cables - The wiring system shall generally be 1.5mm2 LSF/LSF cable. Switches - All lighting switches shall be manufactured by MK Electric Limited. Containment - Surface PVC white medium gauge conduit complete with all manufacturers accessories shall be installed in the bin store / cycle stores. 2 compartment trunking to be used in all corridors where existing door entry alarm cables / mini trunking is present. Where existing cables share same routes as new wiring existing cables shall be incorporated in to the new 2 compartment trunking. Surface rawl plug/screw fixed PVC white mini trunking drops shall be utilised in staircases. The trunking shall follow the line of the wall/ceiling. Metal fixing clips at one metre centres are required in any surface mini trunking to retain the cables. Metal spring saddles shall be utilised at similar centres on the PVC medium gauge conduit. All cables shall be fished across plasterboard ceilings where possible. No ceiling mounted trunking will be accepted in these areas. Wherever possible existing rising ducts/storerooms shall be utilised to feed accessories back outlet. Distribution Small power accessories - All accessories shall be MK Limited Metalclad Plus range. Communal 13 amp sockets shall be MK Limited Metalclad Plus 1 gang key switched. Cables - Door entry systems, TV amp and power supplies shall be rewired in 2.5mm2 LSF/LSF enclosed in white PVC mini trunking. All cables shall be retained with the trunking with screw fixed metal clips. Fire alarm supplies shall be rewired in red 2C+E 2.5mm2 F.P cable installed in white PVC trunking. Mains Distribution Distribution Board Manufacturer - All items of distribution shall be manufactured by Wylex Limited. 100amp TP&N fuse combination unit Ref: NHTPSF100 6 way TP&N panel board Ref: NHVM32506 complete with integral 25
