Description

North East Derbyshire District Council (the 'Authority') is issuing this invitation to tender ('ITT') on behalf of Tupton Parish Council in connection with the competitive procurement of Design and Build at Birkin Avenue Community Park Development
The BMX track is to be designed to be challenging and interesting for riders and appealing to all ages and abilities. Due to the close proximity of neighbouring properties, an element of planting/screening would be required whilst also avoiding developing areas that could attract anti-social behaviour.
The key requirements of the project are:
o Design and build of BMX track to ROSPA and British Cycling standards that is sympathetic in terms of mitigating impact on the environment
o Provision of maintenance for 12 months post installation
o Installation of walkways for access to the BMX facility
o Reinforced access way for maintenance and emergency vehicles
o Management of drainage on site
o Planting to assist in mitigating visual impact of BMX tack on neighbouring properties
o Consideration to be given to other play facilities which are to be installed as a subsequent phase of the development
