Description

TfL has a requirement to manage taxi ranks and assist customers during events and incidents which have affected the travel network.

TfL is therefore seeking Taxi and Private Hire Marshals (T&PHMs) to meet ad-hoc requirements for unforeseen events which impact on the public transport network, some examples include industrial action, sporting events, festivals or other incidents or events as may be required at short notice. 

The Service Provider(s) must be able to provide a flexible and on-demand service, with capacity to deploy T&PHMs at short notice.  Some of the key responsibilities of the T&PHMs include; organising and managing taxi ranks, taxi and private hire drop off areas and pre-booked private hire pick up areas, organising taxi sharing when it has been approved and authorised by TfL and providing information about travel options and facilities/amenities the area.

TfL requires a framework contract for the provision of Taxi and Private Hire Marshalling Services (TPHMS) to be put in place for 2023. TfL is conducting a competitive tender for this contract for a duration of three (3) years with an option to extend for up to a further one (1) year at TfL's sole discretion. It is TfL's intention to contract with up to two Service Providers under the Framework Agreement.

The procurement process is being conducted on behalf of Transport for London (TfL). TfL and/or any subsidiary of TfL or the GLA may interview any or all companies who express an interest for tendering for this work.
