Description

The cleared tissue microscope is to be purchased by the Centre of Membrane Proteins and Receptors (COMPARE), UoB. Match funding will be provided by The University of Birmingham. The systems will be housed in the dedicated COMPARE imaging facility.

1.The microscope must be capable of fluorescent imaging of large cleared samples and whole organs such as liver, kidneys and brain at cellular resolution using a light sheet configuration.

Based on our estimations, we have defined a set of minimal specifications as laid out fully in the evaluation document. These specifications should be considered as a guide in the design of the microscope, the ultimate goal being represented by the achievement of the above-mentioned measurements. The supplier must be able to demonstrate what built-in features the instrument has in this respect and be able to demonstrate its effectiveness.
The supplier shall respond to each numbered paragraph of this specification, describing in detail the method of compliance or otherwise.

A reliable service package is required to ensure the full upkeep and efficiency of the product. This can range from service care contracts for durations after installation to warranties for equipment and what they include. This also will include all technical support and training as well as potential application requirements in the future. The suppliers will agree to provide operational support for the duration of the paid for service contract.
