Description
The Trust currently has a requirement for fit out Works to Levels 5, 6 & 8 of the Southward Building at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.
Some key details about this project are as follows:
• Project location: Great Ormond Street Hospital, London
• Procurement Route = JCT Standard Building Contract without Quantities 2016
o The single stage tender will be based on Stage 4 information with the MEP performance specification
o There will be contract amendments which will be issued as part of the tender package
o The pricing documentation will be a pricing schedule / scope of works
• Work Comprise;
o Conversion of L5 Southward to open plan office
o Conversion of L6 Southward to Physiological and Mental Health Services
o Conversion of L8 to clinical research facility
• In the case of Levels 5 and Levels 6 the works involve significant strip out of existing with rebuilding internal spaces, Level 8 has retained considerably more of the existing
• Each floor is 1,050m2
• The mechanical and electrical services are being fully replaced and upgraded - generally the ventilation is via MVHR units although some areas are supplied by new air handling units
• Plant will be located on a number of roof locations.
• Access to the site
o We anticipate the main contractor will access via an external hoist serving the floors they are working
o Scaffold access to the courtyard is anticipated for works to the balconies.
