It is proposed that the services will be divided into two lots:
LOT 1 - Domestic Abuse Casework Service. Value: £526,500
This service will provide support to survivors of domestic abuse aged 16 or above who live in the borough. The purpose of the service is in line with the Tower Hamlets Strategic Plan, Mayors Manifesto and the VAWG Strategy 2019-2024 that aims to increase safety of adults and children due to domestic abuse; provide access to a range of protection and support services and provide advocacy to represent the clients with a number of statutory and voluntary agencies.
The contract aims to procure Domestic Abuse Caseworkers to support primarily the highest risk domestic abuse victims in the borough. The services will be delivered within the borough.
LOT 2 - Hate Crime Casework Service - Value: £58,500
The overall aims of the Service are to provide emotional and practical support to victims of hate crime in the borough and to enable Service Users to access the range of protection and support services available to them, appropriate to their needs. The service is to advocate on the Service User's behalf with other statutory and voluntary agencies and within multi-agency procedures.
For avoidance of doubt this is not a call for competition at this stage, the purpose is to advise the market on the forthcoming procurement of London Borough of Tower Hamlets and seek ideas and feedback from the market on the proposed changes that may inform the final specification.
