Description

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive is seeking to appoint a suitable experienced provider of the above Services.

A refurbishment scheme to address the deterioration of the structure of the Rotherham Interchange Multi Storey Car Park was developed up to tender action stage in 2013 and a full set of Engineering and Architectural drawings and specifications have been produced. Planning Permission has been granted but this expires in May 2017. The Architectural design remains current and was produced on the basis that it would be carried out as a "Contractor's Designed Portion" of the scheme. The Engineering design has been subsequently updated in 2016 to take account of further deterioration of the structure.

A decision has now been made to incorporate refurbishment works to the Bus Station which lies beneath the car park. The work will therefore comprise post contract duties in connection with the car park and a full architectural service in connection with the Bus Station Refurbishment. The car park and bus station refurbishment works will be let as one contract and therefore post contract duties for both elements will run concurrently. The estimated value of the total Architects fees are between £100k and £150k.
