Description

Change Grow Live is a social care and health charity that works with individuals who want to change their lives for the better and achieve positive and life-affirming goals.
We have held and developed a relationship with our incumbent energy partner since 2015.
We spend c. 650,000 GBP per year on our gas and electricity bills, from buildings where the lease stipulates it is our responsibility. There are c. 185 electricity meters and c. 115 gas meters. NB. This tender is for management of gas and electricity supplies only.
We are currently on 12-month fully fixed tariffs across our estate until summer 2020. Newly acquired buildings added in-contract have co-terminus end dates.
We have considered our options and concluded the time is right to run a formal tender process for the provision of an Energy Procurement and Management Service.
We will be looking for providers that evidence a sound financial footing, a resolute business continuity plan and synergy with our core ethics, values and social responsibilities. Considerations for prospective providers will include:
-Demonstrate the requisite expertise and experience in delivering an Energy Procurement and Management Service
-Dedicated account management that is proactive, responsive and supportive at all levels
-Evidence internal quality systems, and quality assurance and governance processes
-Confirm national geographical coverage of all our buildings in England, Scotland and Wales
-Identify and recommen...uced rate of VAT at 5% and those exempt from climate change levy
-Support of implementation of new acquisitions with timely migration of existing gas and electricity supply; conversely managing decommissioning of closing sites and change of tenancy
-Pro-actively contacting our building managers for actual meter reads where two consecutive invoices are based on estimated reads; also challenging high estimated meter reads with energy suppliers that fall outside a reasonable tolerance compared with historical consumption, with consideration given to seasonal variance
-Reduction of energy consumption initiatives and innovations, carbon management plans, onsite generation, smart meter roll-out, agreed supply capacity (KVA) review, scope of renewable technologies, effecting behavioural change
-Provision of regular industry specific market intelligence to inform future energy procurement including movement in wholesale prices and non-commodity costs, market trends and influences, and any changes in relevant legislation
-Support in achieving our statutory obligations and aspirations in respect of energy management and support with audits from regulatory agencies
-Management information, reports and performance metrics to support the contract; to include reports to enable the efficient validation and payment of invoices
-Commitment to Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethical Sourcing
Please register your interest by 12:00, Friday 21 February 2020.
