Description
In 2010 Nottingham City Council entered into a Street Lighting PFI contract with Tay Valley Lighting (Nottingham) (TVL). This required the contractor to have a replacement programme for street lights and an ongoing maintenance contract for 25 years.
The Authority will receive reports from TVL as they progress through the re-financing. We will require the expert to carry out due diligence and challenge where required to ensure any deal that the Authority enters into provides value for money.
To enter into any deal, successful provider will be required to assist in the production of a more detailed report. Approval will need to be obtained from both the Council and the Department for Transport (DfT) for the refinancing to take place.
