Description

Site address - Invergarry Road, L11 9BT

Cobalt Housing Limited (the Client) has the pleasure of inviting Sika Sarnafil Registered Contractors (Sarnafil Plus) to tender for repairs to the existing Sika Sarnafil Single Ply roofing system on three blocks of three story flats in Liverpool.

The successful contractor will assume the role of Principal Contractor for the project (as outlined in the CDM Regulations 2015), working closely with MSA Latchsafe's Design and Specification Team to produce a specification for the installation of Sarnafil Constant Force Posts in place of the existing non-compatible posts and will subsequently employ an MSA Latchsafe approved installer (in such case that they are not an approved installer themselves) to carry out any installation works in accordance with the approved specification.

Due to the evident water ingress, it should be assumed that repairs to the roofing system in the affected areas will require some level of repair. It is unknown at this point whether the insulation or the ply deck has been affected and exposure of the areas in question will be necessary to understand the full extent of remedial works that may be required.

In addition to the works relating to the Anchor Posts, the successful contractor will carry out a repair to a small section of the roof membrane at Block 42-53 Invergarry Road. It appears that a fascia board became detached from the front elevation of the block and the subsequent impact caused a small tear in the roof membrane approximately 150mm long (see Image C). A patch repair of the roof membrane is required and the length of fascia board is to be reaffixed.

The tender will be evaluated on the basis of price with a number of qualification question that need to be responded to successfully. The Successful Contractor will be signed to the JCT Minor Works 2016. Contractors must provide a guarantee on all products for 10 years. The Contractor is to bear the risk of any additional works.
