Description
The MPS is looking to go out to market for Conflict Management Services focussed on gang mediation.
The contracting Authority requires Gang Mediation Services, for the purposes of conflict management. The services are to be delivered within Greater London.
This will be for a term of 24 months and budgeted contract value of £250,000 or £125,000 per annum. The Authority reserves the right to apply a break clause at 12 months. The Authority also reserves the right to extend the contract after year 2 for up to a further year.
The primary objective of the services is the prevention of death and serious injury through the effective engagement/problem solving involving the parties concerned.
The second objective of the conflict resolution services is to support the Mayor of London's Crime Reduction Board (LCRB) and their Strategic Ambitions for tackling gangs by providing a concrete intervention to victims of youth and gang related violence and to complement a diversion model where applicable and appropriate, as well as referring individuals to key partners and other organisations for further support.
For the avoidance of doubt the successful provider will be expected to work with individuals who are associated with or members of gangs.
The suppliers mediators should have an understanding of London's gang landscape and the fact that these are in the main the client group they will need to mediate with thus understanding the difficulties of mediating between rival gang members and the risk this can pose to clients.
If you are not already registered in our E- tendering portal Coupa, please do register in preparation for a future tender which is likely to be published in November 2022. If you have any questions this is also the appropriate method to contact the Authority.
