Description
NHS Croydon CCG is INVITING PROPOSALS for the provision of community Cardiac Tests services.
The Contracting Authority is seeking to implement new models of test provision for electrocardiograms (ECG) and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) investigations requested directly by Croydon general practices.
Tests will be provided in the community with the objective of providing:
a more accessible service in convenient settings for patients
enabling GPs to more effectively manage their patients in primary care or to refer patients to secondary care with the appropriate investigations already completed
- a quality and clinically safe service
- a rapid turnaround of test completion and results
- optimum use of resources and value for money.
- safe and effective services which meet national guidelines and bets practice
- a service that responds to changes in patient care and organisational requirements.
Recognising the possibility of two contracts, the procurement process is specifying two available Lots:
Lot 1 - Test application & Recording Delivery;
Lot 2 - Equipment & Interpretation.
It is intended that the new service will commence by latest 1 November 2017 whilst encouraging bidders to start earlier if safe to do so.
