Description
Re-modelling of Edward Roberts Court, a central and prominent two tiered courtyard which provides an accessible link between North and South Campus. The strategic brief is to improve the commercial offer of Edward Roberts Court, whilst enhancing student experience. This will be achieved by creating a 'destination' raising the profile and identity of the courtyard through re-modelling and refurbishment of the existing area. The works include the improvement of accessible routes through the space, renewal of paving, soft landscaping works and improvements to drainage across the site. The design of the court will also incorporate a new amphitheatre style tiered seating area alongside the soft landscaping to provide a space to sit and meet.
The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW.

When the tender is released (planned ITT release date 21/3/19) the University will host an accompanied site visit. The date will be confirmed in due course on Contracts Finder and full details provided in the tender documentation. The planned date for the site visit is Thursday 28th March 2019
However, Lancaster University's Bailrigg Campus is a public space and so sections are open to members of the public and can be explored at their convenience unaccompanied by a University's representative. Therefore any contractors unable to attend on the site visit date can explore the campus unaccompanied at their convenience but must not disrupt (whether or not unintentionally) the University's business, or its employees or agents in any way, nor attempt to procure any individual (connected with the University or this project) to provide information on, or facilitate a visit to the site on an alternative date.
All procurement documents will be available free of charge via the University's e-tendering portal: In-Tend
