Description
Children First Northamptonshire (CFN - NCC) are looking for ideas to create a viable model for Residential Short Breaks.
Short breaks for children with disabilities are now well recognised to be a vital service which help families with disabled children to lead ordinary lives and the Local Authority has a vital role in ensuring that sufficient and appropriate short breaks are commissioned in their local area.
We want to gather ideas for creating a viable model with resilience built in to ensure the service continues seamlessly whilst ensuring that all who need the service are able to access it without delays. We are looking to improve the transitions from children's services to adults services so seek fresh ideas on this. We would like to hear from providers who are using assistive technology to improve the short breaks experience and the lives of families and their children.
