Description
Design, installation and testing of buried district heating pipework in carriageway, footway and Bio City property on City Link, Lace Way, Plough Lane and Evelyn Street.
Design, installation and testing of above ground district heating pipework into 2 No. plant rooms and once covered storage area within the Bio City complex of buildings.
Construction of 1 No. reinforced concrete plinth within the Innovation Building plant room to support the new heat exchange unit.
Taking delivery of 3 No. Client designed and purchased skid units, uploading and safe storage. Dismantling of two of these skid units and transporting into the respective plant rooms, Innovation and Laurus, before reassembling and insulating. The third, for the Stuart Adams building can be installed within the covered storage area without dismantling.
Installation of un-tensioned safety fencing within the loading bay adjacent to the Laurus Building, to protect the above ground heating pipes.
Start on site is due to commence no later than 1st October 2020 the latest that the Client will permit a shutdown of the district heating system for the connection works is 30th November 2020. All works should be completed no later than 4 weeks after this date, Or 4 weeks following delivery of the heat exchange units to the Principle Contractor, whichever is the later.
