Description

The University has a requirement to appoint a Design and Build main contractor to work under a two stage construction process (with pre-construction and construction stages) for the design and construction of a maritime simulator suite, consisting of the refurbishment of an existing University facility to accommodate a variety of maritime related training simulators, including but not limited to, Ships Bridge and Engine Room simulators, along with associated classroom, staff office spaces and FF and E

The Contract will be inclusive of the supply and installation of the specialist Simulator Suite and equipment (by the appropriate Simulator sub-contractor), inclusive of a 5 year post contract maintenance period to be provided by the relevant simulator specialist.

The successful contractor will be expected to tender, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the installation of the maritime simulator suite.
