Description

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Region of Learning (CPRoL) is led by Cambridge City Council (the Council) in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council. To support the Region of Learning project, Cambridge City Council intends to commission the development of smart library cards. The Smart Library Card project should be able to integrate the XP Community of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Region of Learning digital platform (the Navigatr platform) with the Cambridgeshire County Council Libraries Service database (Civica Spydus Integrated Library Management System). This includes producing repurposed library cards for participants of CPRoL and introducing a smart chip to the cards that will enable them to be used at multiple locations and with different technologies.Civica Spydus Integrated Library Management System). This includes producing repurposed library cards for participants of CPRoL and introducing a smart chip to the cards that will enable them to be used at multiple locations and with different technologies.

The Council is seeking a digital solution to enable the integration of the existing Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Region of Learning digital platform (the Navigatr platform) with the Cambridgeshire County Council Libraries Service database, including Civica Spydus and required hardware on capturing activity attendance at a variety of locations, including staffed and unstaffed venues, as part of the repurposing of library cards into smart, universal passports
