Description

To supply flood defense to building 30 substation at St Nicholas Hospital Newcastle, this is to include doors, walls, and any other water ingress access to building such as cable ducts need to be sealed to ensure water protection from flooding.

To ensure that all risks to the site are minimised, currently the substation at SNH hospitals does not have any flood defence. In the event of adverse weather the site could potentially flood and this could flood the substation causing a major loss of electrical supply to the site and also damage to the HV and LV switchgear.

The aim of completing this work is to totally reduce the risk of flooding the substation in the event of a flood on the site.
