Description

The Financial Ombudsman Service have a role in the Green Deal Framework Regulations to resolve consumer complaints that have not been resolved through their Green Deal Providers. Where the Provider has gone into liquidation, any decisions by the FOS cannot be implemented by the companies, meaning that the FOS is unable to fulfil their role and there is no redress for consumers. This contract enables the FOS to review the complaints in order to provide meaningful consumer redress. The FOS have a unique role within the Green Deal Framework, and this is why there has been no open competition for the award of this contract.
