Description

Peddimore is allocated within the Birmingham Development Plan for development within Use Classes B1 B2 and B8. BCC owns majority of the site within the allocation and is seeking to appoint a developer who will be responsible for masterplanning a proportion of the site which will be referred to as Phase 1 including pursuing and obtaining a planning consent, installing infrastructure, services and carrying out development. BCC may also appoint the selected developer to undertake development of a further part of the site referred to as Phase 2. Bidders should note that there is no guarantee that the selected developer will be required to undertake the development of phase 2. Phase 2 is the development of the site which sits adjacent to Phase 1. The entire site has been masterplanned and the preferred illustrative masterplan is included in the procurement pack available via the intend portal. The plan shows total of 13 units (A-N), envisaged to be split into the above mentioned 2 phases.

It is an anticipated that the build programme will be for a duration of 5 years, however Birmingham City Council reserves the right to agree a build programme which is less than this.

BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
