Primary Science Subject Leader Development Meetings

Science Subject Leaders in all Primary, Infant and Junior schools

COURSE OUTLINE AND PURPOSE:
These meetings provide updates and CPD for science to support Primary Science Coordinators. They also offer colleagues the opportunity to engage in professional dialogue and share good practice around meeting common challenges.

KEY OBJECTIVES:
These are termly meetings to support the continuing professional development of Primary Science Coordinators and support them in meeting the challenges of their post.

The agenda will vary according to the time of year and national priorities but will cover a range of the following:
• updates on national development
• changes to assessment
• opportunities to share good practice
• wider curriculum and enrichment opportunities
• training and development on subject specific pedagogy
• school/subject priorities identified by science leaders
