Description
This acceptable waste agreement is for the supply of 41,300 tonnes per annum (+/- 5%) of acceptable waste materials for processing at the Wolverhampton Energy from Waste plant, Crown Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1QB
The council requires a contract with a third-party provider to ensure sufficient tonnages of waste are processed at the incinerator and the council meets its minimum input tonnage requirements.
The council currently processes 70,000 tonnes of waste per annum. The plant requires 110,000 tonnes of waste per annum, and this shortfall is to be met by the successful bidder for this tender opportunity.
This new agreement will run from the 1 December 2020 to the end of the current contract with the operators of the Energy from Waste Plant on 11 February 2023, but will give the opportunity of 2 further 1 year extensions, if required, post 2023.
