Description

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of a Peri Natal Mental Health Scoping Exercise.

Health Education England (HEE) has a responsibility within its Mandate from the Department of Health to ensure that training is available so that healthcare staff are competent in the recognition of, and response to, Peri natal mental health. In response to this mandate, a scoping exercise is needed to gain an understanding of the current state of peri natal mental health education and training for healthcare staff across England and clearly identifying how many, in what way and to what extent these courses can evidence use of Perinatal Mental Health Competency Framework to structure the course.

Although this work has national coverage there will inevitably be regional variations in the workforce, HEE will expect the successful provider to work with HEE's regional and local offices. Such close working will be of benefit as the regional and local offices have a good knowledge of the needs of their local workforce, they will also have positive working relationships with local education providers, and will be able to support the successful bidder in supporting this work within each region.

The maximum value of this contract is £250,000. This figure is inclusive of any applicable VAT.
