Description

The Department for Transport (DfT) invites proposals for the provision of a cyber security assessment (the Assessment) of a piece of screening equipment (the Equipment).

The DfT requires an Assessment of the Equipment, that looks at both its Architecture and Use of Data (confirming where it is stored, processed and where it flows). This analysis must support understanding of any potential vulnerabilities, flaws or other weaknesses that could allow the Equipment to be exploited. Moreover, the analysis must outline how long it would take, and the resources required, to undertake any mitigating actions to exploit any areas of vulnerability identified. The outcome of this research, the Final Report, will enable DfT policymakers to understand and further develop a suitable response to these vulnerabilities.

The Assessment must also focus on Penetration Testing of the Equipment, which is defined according to the definition provided by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
