Description

The Purchaser is inviting tenders on the terms set out in this ITT for Phase 2 of the Library Remodelling Project. Phase 1 was completed in January 2016 and Phase 2 aims to bring the Special Collections area of the building (A floor, West) up to the same standard. The project includes a remodelling of the area to provide more study spaces for students whilst creating a more efficient use of archiving space. The study area will be open plan, welcoming and accessible. The Special Collections space will include a secure storage area, meeting room and workspaces for four staff. Please note this is a partial refurbishment which must be delivered within a fully operational library, which will remain open throughout the works.
The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW.
This tender is not lotted. One contractor will be awarded the full package of work.
The successful tenderer/contractor awarded such a contract must be fully available to mobilise 13th- 27th October 2017 so as to commence work on site on 30th October 2017 with practical completion by 12th January 2018.

The University will host an accompanied site visit on 18th September 2017 @ 11am
