Description
Thanet District Council is seeking to undertake works 40-46 Sweyn Road, Margate. The property is a vacant hotel, converted from a row of 4 terraced houses. Proposals aim to convert the hotel back into terraced properties. Potter Raper Partnership (PRP) are acting as Employers Agent on behalf of Thanet District Council. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Suppliers should in first instance register themselves on the Kent Business Portal by following registration instructions. Following which they should register their interest in this opportunity by completing and submitting an electronic expression of interest. All procurement documents are attached to this notice and available for suppliers to download and complete according to instructions contained. Work shall comprise: Works comprise of the refurbishment and conversion works to the existing property to form 2 No. Houses, 2 No. Maisonettes, and 2 No. Flats. This includes the demolition of the single storey front extension and renewal of the original bays. All fire damaged walls are to be demolished and rebuilt as per the supplied drawings. Internal works include structural alterations, renewal of all floors, stair construction, partition construction, with wall, floor and ceiling finishes. Kitchen and bathroom installations are to be included, with all necessary drainage and connections. The heating systems are to be completed renewed by the successful contractor. External works include turfing, paving, fencing, and other externals works as described in the documents. All windows are to be replaced and are to comply with current building regulations, as set out in the documents. The contract will also include roof works as described. The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of an Open Tender. All tenders will be accepted subject to the tenderer providing suitable responses to grounds for Mandatory and Discretionary Rejection and minimum standards are met as set out in the Invitation To Tender document. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria as set out in the ITT document. Deadline for submission of Tenders is: 2pm Friday the 15th of April 2016 The form of contract will be the Intermediate Building Contract with Contractors Design 2011 incorporating amendments 1 (CDM Regulations, 2015)
