Description

Description:
The proposed works will involve decommissioning the existing optic and installing a new LED optic system, as well as refurbishment and redecoration of the tower and mess facilities in the control block. The existing lens is to be left in its current position, permanently shrouded, with the new optics positioned on the internal cast-iron walkway, in front of the old lens.

More specifically, the main items of work listed below:

1. Carry out asbestos survey of all NLB-owned property
2. Replace existing welfare facilities with new
3. Redecorate internally as per bill items
4. Establish temporary navigation optic (NLB technicians)
5. Decommission existing optic system (NLB technicians)
6. Install new batteries and charger
7. Install new domestic equipment (lighting, heating, fire detection etc)
8. Install new optic system
9. Commission all electrical installations
