Nature of Construction Work

The works involve the internal refurbishment of the property including, but not limited to:

widening the site access drive and reworking some of the car park boundaries
removal of the chimney stacks and adjoining block partitions,
removal of a staircase and infilling of the floor opening
replacement of the front doors
reworking some of the ground floor area to form new rooms
complete rewiring and replacement of light fittings
installation of a new network cabinet and CAT 6 cabling
sound proofing of a substantial floor area
replacement of floor coverings throughout and
complete redecoration

Timescale for Completion of Project

The proposed contract commencement will be Monday 10th June 2019 and the approximate completion date will be Friday 30th August 2019.




EXISTING ENVIRONMENT

Existing Site

The works are being undertaken within a building which was originally a pair of semi detached houses,. The houses were adapted for office use in 2009 and occupied by the local authority YOT team. The construction of the property is therefore predominantly domestic in nature.

The building will be fully vacated for the duration of the works . However the adjacent buildings will be active operational police properties and access to the adjacent parking must be maintained.

However the parking area immediately in front of the property will be available for the contractors use.
