Description

South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council are seeking
consultants to provide advice regarding housing and economic land availability across Greater Cambridge. A HELAA 'Call for sites' was carried out between 11 February and 25 March 2019. Approximately 533 sites / broad locations have been submitted. The Councils will complete the registration of the sites / broad locations and make this material available to the successful bidder at the start of the contract.

The project specification includes a number of related work strands:
• Stage 1: Broad location identification
• Stage 2: Site / broad location assessment
• Stage 3: Windfall assessment
• Stage 4: Assessment review and final evidence base
• Stage 5: Provision of expert advice to development plan examinations

The Councils are seeking to work with a contractor or group of contractors who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical experience of housing and economic land availability assessment to support development plan making.

This work forms part of the Councils' plan making process. The contractor must demonstrate in writing that they have no conflicts of interest in respect of work being sought that cannot be effectively mitigated.

Detailed proposals are now invited from consultants.
