Description

Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to procure the equipment required for the ultraviolet (UV) light programme run by its Cellular Biology Group in the Radiation Effects Department. The aim of the programme is to (1) identify the most active NO-inducing wavelength of light (2) the parameters (time and dose) that are most effective and safe and (3) the efficacy of this wavelength of light and parameters to affect blood flow and blood pressure. This opportunity relates to Multi-channel free radical analyser and associated sensors and the Trans Epithelial Electrical Resistance (TEER) equipment.
The required Multi-channel free radical analyser must be capable of
- measuring:
- Nitric oxide from < 0.3nM-100µM
- Hydrogen peroxide < 10nM-100mM
- Hydrogen sulfide
- Glucose
- Oxygen from 0.1-100%
- simultaneous measurement of free radical and independent analog data (ECG, BP, etc.) data on any channel
- be portable to allow field work

The Trans Epithelial Electrical Resistance (TEER) Voltohmmeter must be:
- Capable of Manual TEER measurements of epithelial cells in well plates
- Compatible with Endohm chambers
- Capable of continuous readouts without need for manual intervention.
